Kathryn Ho

Kathryn Ho, a recent illustration graduate from Scotland, uses branching rules to create artworks. In the first one, Ho used microscopic slides and played with a sense of scale. In the second one, she used branching to create an optical illusion. This work could be trees in reflection, nerves or electric pathways. Through this use of branching rules, Ho demonstrates how so many patterns we think of as organic are recreated throughout the mediums of our everyday existence. Technology imitates and expands upon nature. For more on Ho’s work, click here.
