Alan Herbert
In this series, The Body, Alan Herbert traces anatomical drawings over his own photographs. The inspiration for this series came from an intense interest in how things work. As Herbert describes the art process for this series,
“I created A3 size prints, which I could attach tracing paper on over the top. Using an anatomical book for artists I tried to sketch out the bones in my hand. I then took my tracing paper copy and got it printed as an acetate version. I could then lay this acetate version over the top of the paper that I was exposing my image onto so it would effectively create a photogram.”
Currently, Herbert is studying CGI and Digital Effects at Staffordshire University and working on becoming what he calls a “Matte Painter / Compositor / Scene Environment Creator, designing hyper-realistic CG images and VFX for film.” For more of his work, click here.
