Photo Friday with Andrey Bogush
Born in Russia and based in Finland, Andrey Bogush adds vibrant colours to his photographs, creating the kind of celestial beauty we find in rainbows to the everyday.
The young photographer states that, currently, one of his main interests in this medium is exploring the Gestalt Theory: the idea that we perceive an object’s entirety before seeing its individual parts.
Of the “Rainbow” collection, as pictured above, the artist states:
“I digitally overlaid rainbows on photographs to include a new visual and possibly conceptual dimension. My subdued pallet splits with color—alternatively drawing attention to the reliability of photography and the hyper-reality of color processing.”
You can find Bogush’s work on his website and Flickr account.
