PUTPUT
In this work, Autarchical, the artist collective PUTPUT uses their Fashion Design and Graphic Design to create a place where visual language, understanding and expression meet. As PUTPUT describes their work,
“Our work is focused around perception, how we see our immediate surrounding and how we interact with and view objects in daily life. We try to bring forward the unseen or unnoticed through a change in context, shifts in materials and unexpected combinations. Meetings are also important to our work, juxtapositions between fiction and reality, nature and manmade, concept and commerce, art and design, craft and mass production all play their part in what we try to do.”
Currently they are working on sculpture related projects that deal with changes in materiality with a focus on highlighting different aspects surrounding an object such as packaging and protection. They have also just released our first publication “Tribute To The Salami”, which is a playful booklet of collaged and manipulated stock images showcasing a world made of salami or where most things are boloney.
